Born in Freeport, IL in 1964 and raised on farms and in small towns until about 12 years of age. Graduated from Yuba City High School, CA in 1983 and joined the Air Force for 4 years. Afterwards, acquired a Bachelor of Applied Science degree in Electronics Engineering. He fell in love with California and would rather not live elsewhere.
At an early age, Charles started questioning reality. “How does the universe work?” He would ask questions in church, Charles was told not to ask such questions, especially around the other children. This only sparked him into finding answers elsewhere. Thus began the study for the “true nature of the universe.” Some of the concepts learned are depicted in the movie “Shadow Beings”.
The urge to make movies was in him at the early age of 8 as well. Up until the military, he wrote short sci-fi stories and built miniatures, drew diagrams, and created languages and histories that corresponded to elements from those stories. In that whole time, yearning to make movies that could not be realized in the life dealt to him.
Thirty-two years later, with the advent of digital video and the existence of the Community Media Center in Santa Rosa, CA, Charles finally realized his dream of making a movie. The money barrier was no longer an issue since equipment and facilities could be “checked-out” instead of “rented”. Volunteers joined the production on deferred payment and all the exterior shots were on public land. This is Charles’ first script and first movie. No film school, no movie short, just 32 years of brewing the reality.
Guthrie Lowe, a member of BMI, has 19 years experience as a professional and recording musician, both touring afar and locally in Northern California. He has worked in live sound reinforcement as an assistant with Xcentrix (promotional group, 1987-1988), and as soundman at Los Caporales nightclub (1997). In 2005, Guthrie began delving into orchestral score work for TV and film, working on several small projects including music and sound effects for theatrical haunted houses, a Christmas Cd featuring the vocal talents of Denise Elia, and scoring the feature length indie film Shadow Beings. In 2006, Guthrie scored the indie feature La Sangre en el Cuerpo and has several short films, a documentary, a TV theme and a handful of other features on the horizon. Although able to work in a variety of styles including electronica and ambience, his strength lies in orchestral composition, using melody and tension to enhance the mood and tone on screen without being obtrusive. Guthrie looks forward to collaborating with more directors and producers in the future.

Born around Christmas, 1960, Mr. Fillmore has been interested in various aspects of motion picture making and story telling all his life. He experimented with 8mm cameras and photography while in high school, and was staff photographer for the school paper and year book. He also worked two football seasons as a 16mm cinematographer, documenting game play for the players and coaching staff.
In 1980 Mr. Fillmore joined the United States Navy. He was trained in Photography and later in Motion Picture and Television Production at the U.S. Naval Schools of Photography in Pensacola, Florida. His designated Occupational Specialty is 8164, Motion Picture / Television Production Specialist. During his 5 year enlistment he served with an Aerial Reconnaissance squadron in San Diego, and aboard the U.S.S. Kitty Hawk.
Following his enlistment Mr. Fillmore relocated to Sonoma County where he worked various jobs, obtained a vocational certificate in Electronics Technology and an Associate of Science Degree. He also worked with various independent productions as a cameraman, lighting director, and generally useful guy to have on the set of a picture.
Continuing this tradition Mr. Fillmore is proud to have contributed to "Shadow Beings", a Mind's Clay Production, which was officially released in 2005. Mr. Fillmore at times manned the camera, carried equipment, set up lights, held the mike boom, in short; anything that needed doing to help move the production along.
